Definitions<\/p>\n<p>1.1 &#8220;Month&#8221;\u00a0refers to the calendar month.<\/p>\n<p>1.2 &#8220;Monthly Uptime Percentage&#8221;\u00a0is calculated per TiDB Cloud cluster on a monthly basis and is calculated as: (Total Minutes in Month &#8211; Unavailable Minutes in Month) \u00f7 Total Minutes in Month \u00d7 100%.<\/p>\n<p>1.3 &#8220;Unavailable Minutes in Month&#8221;\u00a0is the total number of minutes that a single TiDB Cloud cluster is unavailable in a monthly billing cycle. If all attempts to establish connections to the cluster fail within one (1) minute, the minute is considered unavailable. A TiDB Cloud cluster deployed in part of the month is assumed to be 100% available during the undeployed part of the month.<\/p>\n<p>1.4 &#8220;Monthly Service Fee&#8221;\u00a0means the total fee you paid for a particular TiDB Cloud cluster in the month.<\/p>\n<p>1.5 &#8220;Service Credit&#8221;\u00a0is the percentage of the monthly service fee to be credited to you if PingCAP approves your claim.<\/p>\n<p>2. Service Commitment<\/p>\n<p>2.1\u00a0PingCAP will use commercially reasonable efforts to make TiDB Cloud clusters available with a monthly uptime percentage of at least 99% during any monthly billing cycle.<\/p>\n<p>3. To be eligible, the Credit Request must be received by PingCAP by the end of the second billing cycle after the incident occurred. The necessary information for the Credit Request must include:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"code-line\" dir=\"auto\" data-line=\"61\">\n<li class=\"code-line\" dir=\"auto\" data-line=\"61\">\n<p class=\"code-line\" dir=\"auto\" data-line=\"61\">4.1.1.\u00a0A detailed description of the event that caused the service unavailable;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"code-line\" dir=\"auto\" data-line=\"63\">\n<p class=\"code-line\" dir=\"auto\" data-line=\"63\">4.1.2.\u00a0Downtime and duration;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"code-line\" dir=\"auto\" data-line=\"65\">\n<p class=\"code-line\" dir=\"auto\" data-line=\"65\">4.1.3.\u00a0Descriptions of your attempts to resolve the downtime at the time of occurrence.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>4.2\u00a0 If PingCAP confirms that the Monthly Uptime Percentage is less than the service commitment, PingCAP will issue the Service Credit to you within one (1) billing cycle following the month in which the request occurred. If the submission is overdue, or you fail to provide the necessary information, you will lose your eligibility for the Service Credits. Service Credits must not be transferred or used in any other account.<\/p>\n<p>5. Limitations<\/p>\n<ul class=\"code-line\" dir=\"auto\" data-line=\"81\">\n<li class=\"code-line\" dir=\"auto\" data-line=\"81\">\n<p class=\"code-line\" dir=\"auto\" data-line=\"81\">5.1.1.\u00a0Force majeure, such as natural disasters, wars, terrorist acts, riots, government actions, etc.;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"code-line\" dir=\"auto\" data-line=\"83\">\n<p class=\"code-line\" dir=\"auto\" data-line=\"83\">5.1.2.\u00a0Network or equipment failure between your site and the TiDB Cloud;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"code-line\" dir=\"auto\" data-line=\"85\">\n<p class=\"code-line\" dir=\"auto\" data-line=\"85\">5.1.3.\u00a0Scheduled maintenance, including but not limited to the system upgrade, maintenance, etc., that PingCAP provides advance notice;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"code-line\" dir=\"auto\" data-line=\"87\">\n<p class=\"code-line\" dir=\"auto\" data-line=\"87\">5.1.4.\u00a0Caused by the Cloud Providers, including but not limited to their network, hardware, software failure and system maintenance;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"code-line\" dir=\"auto\" data-line=\"89\">\n<p class=\"code-line\" dir=\"auto\" data-line=\"89\">5.1.5.\u00a0An attack on your application;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"code-line\" dir=\"auto\" data-line=\"91\">\n<p class=\"code-line\" dir=\"auto\" data-line=\"91\">5.1.6.\u00a0Your program read\/write exceeds the system load;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"code-line\" dir=\"auto\" data-line=\"93\">\n<p class=\"code-line\" dir=\"auto\" data-line=\"93\">5.1.7.\u00a0Loss or leakage of data, passwords or passwords caused by you;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"code-line\" dir=\"auto\" data-line=\"95\">\n<p class=\"code-line\" dir=\"auto\" data-line=\"95\">5.1.8.\u00a0You have not followed TiDB Cloud product usage documentation or usage recommendations;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"code-line\" dir=\"auto\" data-line=\"97\">\n<p class=\"code-line\" dir=\"auto\" data-line=\"97\">5.1.9.\u00a0You have not followed appropriate safety practices.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>6. Modification to the SLA<\/p>\n<p>6.1\u00a0PingCAP will provide at least sixty (60) days&#8217; advance notice for any adverse changes to this SLA.
