Overview
Mercari, one of the largest free-market apps in Japan, consists of more than 50 MySQL servers running in an on-premise data center with a data size of over 40 TB and high throughput. Since the company decided to migrate such huge MySQL servers to TiDB Cloud, it had to engage in a large-scale PoC. In this session recording from HTAP Summit 2024, Takashi Honda, Site Reliability Engineer at Mercari, introduces the company’s PoC process as well as the tuning details necessary to achieve its business objectives.
