The digital transformation is creating challenges for Software as a Service (SaaS) companies. More businesses and users are on the internet, and all their interactions are captured and processed as transactions.
A database that supports a SaaS service faces an unprecedented workload. It must handle much higher throughput and provide rapid scalability as the business grows.
One database that meets this challenge is TiDB. It’s an open-source, Hybrid Transactional and Processing (HTAP) database that features MySQL compatibility and easy scalability.
In this talk, we’ll take a closer look at these features and discuss why TiDB is a good platform on which to build SaaS applications. We’ll also share some user success stories.

Prior to that, he worked at Confluent, focusing on Kafka and Kafka Connect. He is an open-source contributor to Apache Kafka and Apache Spark and was a speaker at Kafka Summit 2018 and 2019.
